I am an occupational therapist and a healthcare lawyer with more than twenty years of experience helping people achieve a quality life. I believe that we, as occupational therapists, have an ethical obligation to provide clients with quality, effective, evidence-based services that are individualized and meaningful to them. Throughout my years of practice in occupational therapy and law, I discovered the existing medical and educational models do not address the 360-degree version of autistic people; therefore, failing to equip them with skills for developing a fulfilling life.
